A 19-year-old Janesville man is accused of punching a woman early Monday morning before trying to run her and two other people down with his vehicle.
Two good Samaritans intervened to stop the attack by Daequan Hanna.
Police were told Hanna got in his vehicle and tried to hit the three.
One of the men fired a single shot in self-defense but no one was hit.
The bullet was found lodged in a vehicle.
Hanna is being held in the Rock County Jail on three counts of recklessly endangering safety, plus additional charges.
