Stroman blanked the Brewers on two hits through seven innings to pick up his first victory.
Patrick Wisdom’s home run was the big blow for Chicago.
Burnes deserved better.
He retired the first 13 batters he faced and gave up just two runs and four hits in seven innings while striking out 10.
David Robertson earned his fifth save.
Milwaukee holds onto first place in the National League Central Division, two games ahead of the Cardinals.
