This week is National Infant Immunization Week.
The Manitowoc County Health Department is using this week to inform the public about why it is so important to keep your children up to date on their vaccinations.
We spoke with Nicole Spevacek, a Public Health Nurse with the Health Department, who explained, “Routine immunizations given in the first year of life prevent 20 million cases of the disease, and over 40,000 deaths each year.”
Manitowoc County residents can double-check if their child is up to date with all of their shots by calling the Health Department at 920-683-4155.
