A loss yesterday afternoon in Peoria Illinois has extended the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers’ slide to three games in a row.
The Chiefs took an early 2-0 lead and tacked on three more in the 8th to secure the 5-2 victory.
Rattler pitchers combined to only strike out four batters while giving up 7 hits, and walking an additional seven batters.
Offensively, only three players had any success at the plate.
Centerfielder Sal Frelick accounted for half of his team’s six hits, one of which was a home run, while Antonio Pinero added two of his own including an RBI.
The Rattlers and Chief will square off again this evening at Dozer Park.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. with Brandon Knarr taking the mound for Wisconsin.
