The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association reports a $2.3 million operating loss for the 2020-2021 school year.
That follows a $609,000 loss for the previous year. WIAA Executive Director Stephanie Hauser says the organization has come back strong this year.
She gave her annual report in Stevens Point Wednesday.
Hauser estimates the association is up to about 80-percent of its earning level before the COVID-19 pandemic.
That has led its leadership to end discussions of implementing emergency membership dues.
