The Manitowoc County Board of Supervisors may look significantly different than it has in the past several years, but County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer is excited.
In total, seven new board members were sworn in on April 19th, and a new Board President was elected in Tyler Martell.
In an op-ed sent to Seehafer News, Ziegelbauer said “There’s renewed energy and different leadership on the County Board,” but they still look toward making real progress in the Lakeshore communities.
Ziegelbauer noted the success of the financial plan the Board instituted in years past, saying “Manitowoc County had a good year financially in 2021 with over $1.5 million dollars in generated surplus. We are holding the line on taxes, keeping our debt very low, continuing with a robust capital improvement program.”
