
The Mishicot High School Girls Softball team stays unbeaten after a 10-0 triumph over Sheboygan Area Lutheran yesterday afternoon.
The defending state champion Indians outhit the visiting Crusaders 11-2 and played errorless ball behind winning pitcher Ashlyn Bennin.
Ashlyn struck out 10 and did not walk a batter in her 6 innings of work.
The top of the order led the way for Mishicot as Cora Nelson and Ally McArdle both went 3-for-4 and combined to score 5 runs.
Nelson delivered a double and a triple in the win, the 6th in a row to begin the season for Coach Dawn Shimekâs team.
Also in the Big East Conference: Manitowoc Lutheran rapped out 16 hits during a 12-10, 8-inning road loss to St. Mary Catholic.
The Lancers were led offensively by sophomore Madison Luebke, who went 4- 4 including a double.
In the FRCC, De Pere got past Manitowoc Lincoln 6-2.
The Ships jumped out to an early lead thanks to RBI singles from Lizzy Stuebs and Maria Kraynek, but the Redbirds rallied to win.
Stuebs and Karenna Sorenson combined on a 5-hitter and fanned 9 De Pere batters.
