
Area high school golfers braved frigid conditions yesterday at Autumn Ridge Golf Course near St. Nazianz to play two, EWC mini-tour meets.
In the first 9 holes hosted by New Holstein, Roncalli was a 5 shot winner over Sheboygan Falls 173 to 178.
The Jets also had the meet medalist in Brayden Yanda, who carded a 3 over 39.
Brayden’s teammate Luke Pautz and the Falcons Jack Guenther tied for 2nd at 42.
Andrew Vorpahl led Kiel with a 43. Roncalli’s Will Falconer, John Oberbroeckling, and Owen Just finished among the top-11 golfers.
Kiel and Valders were 3rd and 4th in the team standings.
Then, in the 2nd 9, hosted by Valders, the Jets, and Falcons tied for the lead at 176, followed by the Kiel Raiders with a score of 188.
Oberbroeckling of the Jets took medalist honors with a 40, one stroke better than Nolan Buchaklian of Falls.
Vorpahl and Yanda finished in a 3rd place tie at 43.
