Fuel prices are back on the rise in Eastern Wisconsin.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, the average price per gallon of fuel in Manitowoc County jumped 9 cents since last week, up to $3.84, while Sheboygan County saw a four-cent increase to $3.83.
Calumet County reported the largest spike, up 17 cents to $3.83, while Outagamie County reported a 10-cent upswing to $3.79.
A 12-cent bump was reported in Brown County where the average price now sits at $3.85, Kewaunee County motorists are paying 11 cents more at the pump with an average of $3.86 per gallon, and Door County remains the most expensive county in the area to buy gas, jumping 9 cents to $3.92.
The state average also rose six cents to $3.85, and the national average only swelled four cents to $4.12.
Since the start of April, the average price per gallon in the entire seven-county area we report on actually went down a total of 2 cents, starting at $3.87 the first week of the month and dropping to $3.85 per gallon this week.
