A number of arrests related to drugs have been reported in Manitowoc over the past several days according to reports released by Manitowoc Police on Monday.
Last Wednesday, a man was issued a municipal violation during which he revealed that he had a small amount of cocaine in his hotel room. After learning that the man had pending charges related to drug trafficking, Manitowoc Police officially tested the suspected cocaine base that was found in the suspect’s room.
It tested positive as being cocaine on Saturday, leading to an arrest for possession of cocaine and felony bail jumping.
Also on Saturday, Manitowoc detectives were conducting an undercover effort on the northeast side of Manitowoc. A suspect was placed under arrest for an ordinance violation and was found to have over 30 grams of raw marijuana in a plastic bag in his front shirt pocket.
More containers were reportedly found in the suspect’s car, totaling around 86 more grams of marijuana. He was ultimately arrested for being a repeat possession of marijuana as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Sunday, a woman with an outstanding felony warrant was stopped at the Marathon gas station on Washington Street after being recognized by a Manitowoc officer.
She was placed in handcuffs when a search of her purse reportedly unveiled a glass smoking device that later tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine. She was taken into custody and is set to be charged with four counts of felony bail jumping.
