Wauwatosa police will have an increased presence at West High School this morning after a student brought a gun to the school Friday.
A school administrator was talking to the student about a suspected vaping incident when that student admitted he had a handgun.
The gun was confiscated and the student was taken into custody.
Police say a school resource officer was told about the gun at around 1:30 p.m.
Police say the student was cooperative and charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County Juvenile Justice Center.
