
There were numerous house fires around the area over the weekend.
Fire crews in Appleton, Fond du Lac, Chilton, and Green Bay were all called to action on Sunday, with the Appleton fire starting at around 1:00 a.m.
Crews responded to the 1800 block of East Forrest Street and had the blaze out within 15 minutes.
In Fond du Lac, a two-and-a-half-story home caught fire at around 2:00 a.m. and was deemed a total loss.
No injuries were reported in either of those fires.
Then in Chilton, crews were called to the corner of Court and Heiman Streets at around 6:15 p.m. and used a ladder to rescue a man hanging out of a second-floor window.
The man was treated at Ascension Calumet Hospital for minor injuries.
Closing out the hectic day, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to a home in the 400 block of South Webster Avenue at around 8:00 p.m.
Two occupants had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.
The causes of all of these fires are still under investigation.
