A 51-year-old man made firearm threats toward Manitowoc County deputies in the Village of St. Nazianz before being arrested on Wednesday afternoon.
Seehafer News received a call about a large law enforcement presence in the area. Details were released via a press release from Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig on Thursday.
According to the release, deputies responded to the United Ministries Christian Center apartments in the Village of St. Nazianz for a disturbance call.
The suspect made the call requesting deputies to respond to the scene, and when they did, he reportedly proceeded to make firearm threats toward the arriving deputies.
For precautionary reasons, the Sheriff’s Office Armored Vehicle responded to the scene. Individuals on the property were safely sheltered or relocated until the incident was deemed to be clear.
Ultimately, the suspect cooperated with requests to exit the apartment. No firearms were located, despite his threats.
The man was arrested for threats to law enforcement and removed from the location. The Sheriff says that the investigation remains under investigation.
