Caryn F. Sitkiewitz, age 86, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation.
Caryn was born on November 1, 1935 in Manitowoc to the late Alvin and Elvira (Voland) Thielen. She graduated from Lincoln High School. On January 21, 1956, Caryn married Joel Sitkiewitz at St. Paul Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Joel preceded her in death on December 24, 1992. After working at the local phone company, Mirro Corporation, and Younkers, Caryn was a homemaker and her life was dedicated to her husband and children. She enjoyed playing with her card club ladies for the past 50 plus years. Above all, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family – especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include Caryn’s daughter, Debbie (Mark) Fuller; three grandchildren, Cassandra Seidl and her special friend, Travis Dehne, Jake Fuller and his fiancée, Jessica McCabe, and Bryanna Fuller and her fiancée, Alex Wallin; four great grandchildren, Justin Kunstmann, Corbin Fuller, Zoey McCabe, and Kaden McCabe; also other relatives and friends. Caryn was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Elvira Thielen; brother, Allen Thielen; husband, Joel Sitkiewitz; son, Daniel Sitkiewitz; and great grandson, Ryker.
A Life Celebration Social for relatives and friends will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Caryn’s cremated remains to be held at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
