Maddy Rathsack went 3-4 and Jena Garceau drove in 3-runs.
Madison Lammers suffered the loss working 6-innings and striking out 3. Then in game-2, Valders managed to pull away and beat Roncalli 10-3.
Lammers pitched all 7-innings in taking the loss, surrendering 9 hits with 9-strikeouts.
Taylor Hammel went the distance for the Vikings, allowing 6 hits while walking 1 and striking out 8.
Carissa Hammel delivered a big 2-run single with the score tied at 1 in the 5th inning.
Hammel, Beth Pekarske, and Hunter Romuald each collected multiple hits for Valders.
Meanwhile, on the boy’s side of things, the Roncalli baseball team was supposed to have hosted Sheboygan Falls, but rain and poor playing conditions resulted in the game being postponed.
The Jets are scheduled to return to action Saturday at Valders.
