Several entities in Sheboygan County will be participating in the National Drug Takeback Day event next weekend.
On Saturday, April 30th, citizens with prescription drugs they no longer need are being encouraged to drop them off at one of the numerous sites around the Country.
In Sheboygan County, those sites include HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, the Sheboygan Falls Police Department, the Random Lake Fire Department, and Generations, located on Douglas Street in Plymouth.
You are encouraged to bring prescription and over-the-counter medications, along with ointments, patches, inhalers, non-aerosol sprays, creams, vials, and pet medications.
They will not be accepting illegal drugs, needles, aerosol cans, personal care products, or biohazardous material.
Community members are also reminded that many drug disposal boxes are open year-round.
