Monroe police say a knife attack has left a 63-year-old mother fighting for her life.
Her son, 29-year-old Ryan Lewis, is accused of attacking her with a knife Thursday morning at about 5:30 a.m.
Lewis’ older brother reportedly stopped the assault.
The brother suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at a hospital.
About a half-hour later, Green County deputies found the suspect a few blocks away in his vehicle.
He is charged with substantial battery with a knife and is being held in the Green County Jail.
