The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have now won three games in a row after claiming both games in a doubleheader yesterday in Beloit.
The first game was a defensive battle, with the Appleton-based Rattlers sneaking out a 1-0 win. Darrien Miller belted a ball over the wall in the top of the 7th inning to put the rattlers on the board, and James Meeker came on to close out the win.
Game two was a different beast entirely, with the Rattlers winning 7-4.
The game was all knotted up at 4 heading into the 7th inning, but the Rattlers rallied to score three, and Cam Robinson closed the door in the bottom of the inning to earn the save.
Joe Gray Jr. had a great game at the plate, driving in four total runs on just two hits.
The Timber Rattlers will try to make it four in a row this evening, as once again they will take on the Sky Carp in Beloit.
First pitch for game four of the six-game series is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
