Six people have been displaced, along with their two dogs, following a fire in Green Bay last night.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to a residence in the 900 block of Smith Street at around 8:15 p.m., where they found the lower unit emitting smoke.
The fire in the kitchen of the lower apartment was extinguished quickly, and two dogs were rescued from inside.
There were no injuries reported, including to the canines, as no one was home at the time.
While they know the fire started in the kitchen, what exactly caused it has not yet been determined.
The blaze caused an estimated $10,000 in damage.
