A falling tree has killed a Rock County Public Works employee.
The fatal accident happened Tuesday in Janesville Township as the 61-year-old victim was driving a county dump truck.
Emergency responders were called to the scene shortly after 11:00 a.m.
Investigators say the tree wasn’t being cut down at the time and it fell on its own.
The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the driver’s name later.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
