Prosecutors in Marathon County have filed a charge of homicide by negligent use of a controlled substance against a 22-year-old driver from Edgar.
Investigators say Hunter Christiansen’s driver’s license was already revoked when the crash happened last June.
He told authorities he was trying to cross Highway 29 when he hit the SUV.
The driver of that vehicle died at a hospital.
Christiansen’s bond has been set at 20-thousand dollars.
He has a preliminary hearing set for April 20th in Marathon County Court.
A blood draw found a small amount of drugs in his system.
