The Badgers men’s basketball program has made a scholarship offer to a six-foot-11 big man from Maine.
Joseph “JP” Estrella would be a member of the recruiting class of 2023 if he comes to Madison.
He reportedly already has offers from Boston College, Iowa, Marquette, Notre Dame, Providence, Syracuse, Tennessee, and others.
He averaged 20 points, a dozen rebounds, and four blocked shots a game last year in high school.
The scouts say Estrella has a knack for getting a good rebounding position that pays off with a lot of putbacks.
