While opening weekend started with a postponement of their game, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers overall ended the weekend on a high note.
They took two out of three games from Peoria, outscoring the Chiefs 10-9.
The Rattlers won the first game on Saturday 7-6 in the 10th inning and followed that up with a doubleheader on Sunday, making up for the missed game on Friday.
The Chiefs won the first of those shortened 7-inning games 1-0, while the Rattlers used a two-run seventh to pull ahead and win the rubber match 3-2.
Sal Frelick and Tyler Black were the most consistent hitters for the Appleton-based team, with Frelick picking up four hits over the weekend, and one RBI, and Black accumulating 3 hits, and a whopping 5 RBIs.
The Rattlers will take today off before beginning a six-game road series against the Beloit Sky Carp.
