A firefighter in De Pere was injured while battling a blaze late last week.
The fire in the 700 block of South Sixth Street was reported to the fire department just before 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Crews arrived to find the garage completely engulfed in flames.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but not before it caused some damage to the side of the home, and a vehicle inside the garage was lost.
In the process of battling the inferno, one of the firefighters suffered minor burns and was treated at the scene before being released.
No other injuries were reported.
A witness claimed that a wood-burning heating unit started the fire, which caused an estimated $50,000 in damage.
