A Shawano County judge has recused himself from a criminal case against a campground owner.
Judge William Kussel won’t be hearing the case against Ann Retzlaff, who faces several charges connected to a May incident.
Retzlaff has filed a “common law grand jury lawsuit” against the judge, the Shawano County district attorney, and the county corporation counsel.
Retzlaff alleges Judge Kussel, DA Gregory A. Parker, and Corporation Counsel Larenda Maulson injured, oppressed, defrauded, and deprived her of her due process rights.
Retzlaff was arrested last May.
