The Brewers will open the Major League Baseball regular season with an afternoon game at Wrigley Field.
The contest will be aired on 107.9 FM WOMT at 12:45 p.m.
It’s the first step toward a defense of Milwaukee’s National League Central Division title.
Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes starts for the Brewers.
He will be opposed by Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks.
This is the third time the regional rivals have met in the season opener since Milwaukee moved to the National League 24 years ago.
Also, the Brewers’ front office acted fast, trading for another backup catcher just a couple of days after Pedro Severino was suspended for 80 games.
In a deal with the San Diego Padres, the Brewers acquired former Cubs catcher Victor Caratini.
Milwaukee traded catcher Brett Sullivan and minor league outfielder Korry Howell to get the veteran Caratini and cash.
Caratini played in a career-high 116 games last season in San Diego, hitting .227 with seven home runs.
