Assemblyman Paul Tittl of Manitowoc was at Roncalli High School on Monday, where he honored the Boys Basketball team and their Coach with legislative citations.
The Boys Basketball team finished their season with a 27-2 record, and knocked off the top-seeded, and favored Milwaukee Academy of Science in decisive fashion, 55-45.
Tittl praised the work the team put in, saying “I am inspired by the dedication of the Roncalli boys’ basketball team. Their passion and efforts bring me hope for the future of our state and nation.”
While Coach Joe Garceau will tell you it was all about the players and their hard work, the Associated Press disagreed, naming him the 2022 Coach of the Year.
Since assuming the role of head varsity basketball coach, Joe Garceau has compiled a record of 134 wins and 45 losses.
What is more, he led the Jets to conference championships in 2019, 2021, and 2022.
