
Minus four field events due to wet grounds, Manitowoc Lutheran track teams competed Tuesday evening at a quadrangular meet hosted by Hilbert High School.
The Lancer girls captured 1st with 68-points, just ahead of runner-up finisher St. Mary Catholic with 66.
Brooklyn Luebke was a double event winner, taking the 1600-meter run in 5-minutes-40-seconds and the ‘800 in 2:34.
Other event winners according to Coach Abbey Bubolz, were Emma Kolar in the High Jump at 4-feet 6-inches, MonRaye Ermis in the shot put at 38-feet, 3-and a half inches, Emily Marohn won the 300-meter Hurdles in a clocking of 50.97 seconds, while Peyton Luebke in the 200-meter dash in 30.81.
The 1600-meter relay comprised of Maren Dewane, Addie Korte, Ginevra Ermis, and Selah Schulz also picked up a win.
The Lutheran boy’s squad took 3rd in their four-school competition with 38-points.
They had a pair of first-place finishes from Ryder Vogt with an effort of 5-feet in the High Jump and the 400-meter Relay team of Caleb Uhlhorn, Sho Fukasawa, Luke Nikolai, and Kaeden Storzer.
