A congressional committee is demanding the U-S Postal Service buy more electric-powered vehicles.
50,000 trucks will be made by Oshkosh Defense at a plant in South Carolina.
At least 10,000 of those vehicles will be zero-emission trucks, double the original number.
That’s not enough for members of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
Oshkosh Defense says the contract includes the needed flexibility to increase the percentage of electric vehicles.
