The Badgers’ offensive line has been good the last two years, but not really up to the standards of the football program.
Coaches are hoping redshirt sophomore left tackle Jack Nelson of Stoughton can be the leader who transforms the unit.
Nelson started at right guard last season in all 13 games, allowing just 13 pressures and two sacks in 769 total snaps.
He was named honorable mention All-Big Ten.
The 6′ 7″, 304-pound athlete was a 4-star prospect when he committed as part of the recruiting class of 2020.
Nelson was rated the number-two player in Wisconsin high school football.
