A fire at a home near downtown Green Bay has left two people injured.
According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the single-family home in the 1100 block of South Broadway at around 11:00 a.m.
Firefighters found heavy flames emitting from the home, and black smoke could be seen from across the river.
The fire reportedly originated in a bedroom and spread quickly throughout the residence.
It took crews just shy of an hour to get the fire under control.
One resident was treated at the scene while another was taken to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The house has been deemed a total loss, with all nine of the residents being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
