Badgers basketball star Johnny Davis will make his future path official this afternoon.
It is generally anticipated that the All-American will leave college basketball for the NBA and declare himself eligible for next month’s draft.
He’d be passing up millions of dollars and risking injury if he stays at the University of Wisconsin.
Davis will appear on ESPN’s “NBA Today” show to make the announcement.
The program airs from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on the cable channel.
Also, sophomore forward Ben Carlson announced Wednesday he is entering the transfer portal.
In two seasons with the Badgers, he averaged just over nine minutes a game, with 1.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest.
He showed promise as a freshman when he scored 13 points against Eastern Illinois but he was sidelined by a back injury for most of that season.
He never scored more than 6 points in a game after that.
