The Green Bay Packers have announced plans to host a game between Manchester City and Bayern Munich in July at Lambeau Field.
The top-level European soccer teams will play an exhibition game just a few days before the Packers training camp opens.
Team officials had said Monday they would host a major event at Lambeau but they didn’t confirm the soccer match Tuesday.
An official announcement will come when the event is finalized.
The soccer match is expected to more than make up for the revenue lost when Green Bay plays an NFL regular-season contest in London this fall.
