The owner of an Appleton pizzeria has agreed to accept a plea deal in a federal tax case.
Paul VanderLinden has pleaded guilty to charges of Filing False Individual Tax Returns, and Failing to Collect, Account For, and Pay Over Payroll Taxes, with numerous other charges dropped but read into the record.
The owner of Muncheez Pizzeria had skimmed an estimated $800,000 from his business receipts between 2012 and 2016, with most of that cash going directly into his personal bank account.
He then failed to report that income on his taxes.
VanderLinden is due back in court on July 7th for his sentencing.
