Mae M. Husar, age 93, of Manitowoc, passed away Wednesday evening March 23, 2022, at The Court at Felician Village.
The former Mae Jackson was born on May 24, 1928, in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Roger and Katherine (Keller) Jackson. She was a 1946 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Mae was married to Donald J. Husar on June 21, 1950, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2008. Mae worked for Northern Labs in Manitowoc for fifteen years.
Mae was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and a former member of St. Mary’s Rosary and Altar Society.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara (Dennis) Kloida, Manitowoc, Sandy (Randy) Bruechert, Manitowoc, Debbie Husar-Prather (Richard Prather), Mesa, AZ; grandchildren and great-grandchildren include: Chad Bruechert and his fiancé Amber and Chad’s son: Connor and Amber’s daughter: Charlotte, Jody (Jake) Stradal, Katie Bruechert and Felicia and Macen, Lauren (Jim) Hackmann and their children: Landon, Norah, and Georgia, Lindsey (Joe) McCormick and their sons: Jack and Will; one sister: Dorothy “Dodie” Stevens, Sheboygan; one niece: Bonnie Herrmann; two nephews: Mark Stevens, Jim Belongia. She was preceded in death by her parents: Roger and Katherine Jackson; husband: Donald J. Husar; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Lorraine (Everett) Belongia, Donald Stevens.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, 1114 S. 21st Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Doug LeCaptain will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment of her cremated remains at the Calvary Mausoleum at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of services at 11:00 am.
