The former Holy Family College building will be demolished.
That information was confirmed by Sister Myra Jean of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
She explained that the Sisters had conversed with real estate brokers to try to sell the building, but those conversations did not end with any potential sales.
The school building itself is the only structure that will be demolished, as the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance is serving as the home for the Holy Family Conservatory of Music.
Sister Myra Jean explained that the music center is still actively hosting events.
She also said that the Sisters did their due diligence in regard to the decision to raze the building, and said that it was a hard decision to make.
No timeline for the demolition has been released.
