Even though the season ended too quickly, the Badgers’ top player and head coach are still up for national honors.
Sophomore wing Johnny Davis is one of four finalists for the Naismith Men’s College Player of the Year award.
Coach Greg Gard is also one of four finalists for the Naismith Coach of the Year award. Davis averaged 19.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists a game during the regular season.
He was chosen Big Ten Player of the Year and was a consensus first-team All-American.
Gard was named Big Ten Coach of the Year for the second time in the last three seasons.
The Badgers have also made a scholarship offer to 6′ 5″ shooting guard Jack Robison from Lakeville, Minnesota.
He’s a class of 2024 recruit.
The offer was made last summer to the sophomore who also has offers from Minnesota and St. Thomas.
Robison is reportedly getting some interest from Iowa, Iowa State, Xavier, Oregon State, Stanford, and Creighton.
He has reportedly already taken three unofficial visits to the Madison campus.
