Milwaukee voters are choosing a new mayor this spring for the first time since 2004, and a new poll shows plenty of voter dissatisfaction.
The survey shows 60 percent of Milwaukee voters think the quality of life in Wisconsin’s largest city is fair or poor. Pollster Joe Goode says that result is tied to a few issues, but mainly crime.
He says it’s “by far the number one issue that voters want the mayor and city council to focus on.”
75% of those surveyed say the crime problem is extremely serious or very serious.
The poll by American Strategies was commissioned by the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors.
400 registered Milwaukee voters were surveyed from March 10th to the 14th.
