A man who attempted to rob the Baymont Inn in Manitowoc at gunpoint a year and a half ago has been sentenced.
Samuel Juan Pech was found guilty of Attempted Armed Robbery due to a no-contest plea, and Judge Robert Dewane sentenced him to spend four years on probation.
Pech entered the Hotel the morning of September 14th, 2020, and asked the employee at the desk for change for a $20 bill.
When the clerk opened the register drawer, Pech then demanded all the money in the drawer.
The clerk said all the money was in the office, so Pech left.
He was later located in his home in Sheboygan, where he admitted to committing the crime.
As a part of his probation, Pech will be required to maintain absolute sobriety, and have no contact with the Baymont Inn.
