Third seed Wisconsin was denied a trip to the Sweet 16 as they fell to 11th seeded Iowa State 54-49 at the NCAA Tournament in Milwaukee Sunday.
The Badgers trailed by one at the half but were never able to regain the lead in the second half.
Johnny Davis, the Big Ten Player of the year, led Wisconsin with 17 points and Brad Davidson had 12.
The Badgers had to play much of the game without Chucky Hepburn, who left the game early in the first half with a leg injury.
Wisconsin finishes the season at 25-8.
