A threat was called into the Joint Dispatch Center at around 10:40 a.m. Thursday about a bomb being located inside of Two Rivers High School.
Two Rivers Police Lieutenant Jacob Glaser issued a press release Thursday evening noting that although the school was not in session, all students and staff in the building were evacuated.
TRPD was assisted by bomb squad units from Outagamie and Brown County in clearing the building, as no sign was found of any explosive devices.
“Swatting” is what TRPD believes occurred, as multiple bomb threats have been made to schools across Wisconsin. The speculation is that these incidents are being made from overseas.
The department noted that there is no threat to the public at this time.
