A 36-year-old Chippewa Falls man has been jailed for leading authorities on a chase through two counties. Daniel Zelms faces multiple drug charges as well as reckless driving-endangering safety, and speeding.
Lake Hallie police started the chase Sunday just before noon when officers say they saw Zelms speed through a red light. He was finally stopped in Eau Claire but then refused to leave his vehicle. After he was forcefully removed police found containers of meth and marijuana in the car.
