The defendant in a Brown County trial starting today is accused of stabbing the victim 175 times.
Green Bay police conducted a welfare check two years ago found the body of Douglas Campbell.
The investigation led them to the home of Andres Garcia-Saenz where police say they found clothing, credit cards, identification, shoes, and other items belonging to the victim.
They say Garcia-Saenz denied any involvement in the killing and offered multiple explanations for why he had Campbellās property.
Investigators say DNA from both men was found on the handle of a bloody hammer found at the scene.
