The Roncalli Boys Basketball team used a 53-to-20 second-half scoring advantage to rally past St. Mary Catholic 85-61 in the WIAA Division-4 Sectional semifinals at Menasha Fieldhouse.
The Jets were able to wipe out a 41-32 deficit at the half, thanks in large part to Luke Pautz.
The 6′ 4″ senior turned in a phenomenal performance as he exploded for 56-points, including 44 over the final 18 minutes, as Roncalli moves into the Sectional championship game tomorrow against Iola-Scandinavia, now scheduled for Auburndale tomorrow night.
Two other Jets each tallied 9-points and Joseph Witczak contributed 7-assists before fouling out late in the game.
The Zephyrs, who wind up the season 17-and-10, had 4-players in double figures, paced by Charlie Nackers’ 9 points.
