The City of Sheboygan is prepared to offer relief to small businesses.
The Common Council recently approved the addition of $200,000 into the city’s Small Business Emergency Assistance Program which is designed to help businesses with 25 employees or fewer.
This is the second round of funding added to the program, with the first totaling $160,000.
That money came from the American Rescue Plan Act, while this round comes from funds saved during a major sewer project.
While COVID has been detrimental to many businesses, the labor shortages and supply chain issues, some of which is due to COVID, have caused some businesses to close their doors.
