Garage and Home Catches Fire in Sheboygan

The Sheboygan Fire Department responded to a garage fire Friday evening. The call came in at approximately 7:15, reporting the fire on the 1500 block of North Avenue, and first responders found the fire had spread to the attached home, and threatened a neighboring residence. Cold temperatures and ice buildup presented a challenge for the crews. The blaze was eventually brought under control, but not before the adjacent home received some damage. One person was transported to a Milwaukee area hospital, but his condition is not known at this time. Occupants of both residences were displaced as a result and The American Red Cross is assisting those affected.
