The Silver Lake College Women’s Basketball team fell to NAIA school, Indiana Northwest, 69-54 yesterday the UW Manitowoc Campus. The game was tired at 16 after the first quarter, but an 8 point second stanza had the Lady Lakers down 32-24 at the half. SLC rallied in the third, to take a 39-38 lead, but the Redhawks went on a 19-8 run through the early part of the final quarter, which SLC could not come back from. The visitors from Gary Indiana out-rebounded the home team 39-23, and drained 16 out of 20 from the free throw line, compared to the Lady Lakers, who took 9 shots from the line, and sunk 6. Danelle Buck lead SLC with 16 points, while Ashley Rumlow added 13. SLC has now fallen to 8-7, with a game scheduled for Wednesday night against UW Manitowoc. Tip off is set for 5:30 PM.
