As the Russian invasion of Ukraine continued for its fourth day, dozens of community members in Ashwaubenon rallied to show their support of the Ukrainian people.
The peaceful rally was held at the Brown County Veteran’s Memorial outside of the Resch Center, where several Ukrainian-born citizens were on hand.
Those individuals may be safe in America, but some of them have family still in the Country that may not be.
Many of these Ukrainian transplants voiced their appreciation for the local support, one of them calling this situation a nightmare they can’t wake up from.
A vigil is planned for this Wednesday as well and will be hosted by local Ukrainians at St. Matthew Orthodox Church, located at 607 Ravenswood Drive in Green Bay.
The service will begin at 6:00 p.m. and everyone is welcome.
