Dane County has rolled out new snowplows that can clear two lanes of the highway at once.
County Executive Joe Parisi says the new equipment will help the highway department keep pace with the growing infrastructure.
He says crews will be able to clear roads of ice and snow more efficiently.
Snowplow drivers have to clear more than 2,500 lane miles in the county during major winter weather events.
