Representatives for Major League Baseball and its players’ union are meeting all this week in Jupiter, Florida, trying to find common ground on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The sides met for about an hour Monday, then met separately for the rest of the afternoon – before getting together briefly at the end of the day.
There was some movement toward an agreement but it was very slight.
Next Monday is the self-imposed deadline for a new C.B.A. to be in place in order to avoid an interruption of the regular season.
